

Ofercuman Solutions was entrusted with performing a detailed process study for FBO Licensing & Registration and Food Import Process along with a benchmarking exercise with other countries and finally submit a process recommendation report. Detailed study was conducted through a. Studying prevailing regulations, b. Discussing with HO senior officials, c. Interviewing field-level officers along with site visits in multiple states, d. Reviewing IT systems, e. Benchmarking processes with developed countries, and, f. Validating the findings with HO senior officials KPIs evaluated included - error-free processing, process TAT and accurate & timely reporting. Some of the recommendations included process and system modification to enhance controls in FBO Licensing process, design of blockchain in Food Import supply-chain and strengthening of Regulations as per international best practices.
A major hardware distributor in Bangladesh was facing inventory holding issues which high-moving items often not available in stores whereas slow-moving ones filling up the inventory – resulting in low customer satisfaction and high working capital holding. Ofercuman Solutions were given the assignment for inventory optimisation keeping in context the nature of business and product demands. Following data were collected a. SKU-wise product details, lot size (in case of imported products) b. Month-wise demand pattern for major SKUs c. Procurement & Sales process followed & Organisational structure Our recommendation included rationalisation of SKUs using ABC analysis, system-based demand forecasting & procurement planning, defining KPIs for both Sales and Procurement Dept. and inter-department communication protocol. System development was done with excel-based model during pilot phase followed by full-fledged IT system which resulted in 56% reduction in average inventory holding.
